Well, just when I think I have things all figured out life just throws me a curve ball. So here I am changing things up again.
It's no surprise to most people that know me, that I love fashion, jewelry, bags, shoes, makeup, etc. So it sort of makes sense that I've decided to start a side business selling jewelry. It's something I can do that fits my chedule and I can make it what I want. I'm really excited about it.
I'll have a website and people can order products online. I'll also do shows in homes or offices. I'm starting off slow but I have big goals! I have a really great support system of ladies who have been doing this for a while and they've been so helpful. I'll be hosting my first show Saturday February 1st! Can't wait!
And of course I'll be promoting it a lot on my fashion blog and hopefully reach people that way too.
We are busy over the next few weeks. Starting my new business, Tony and his mom have a dance showcase (they've been doing ballroom dancing), and I'm co-hosting a baby shower for a friend. Going to be making a motorcycle diaper cake and about 50 sugar cookies decorated like mustaches, ties, onesies, and bibs. Like not just cut out into those shapes but also appropriately decorated with designs and I'll be dusting off my pastry bag. I think by cookie 20, I'll be over it haha.
Also, been crocheting and signed up for Goodreads and set a goal to read 50 books this year. What was I thinking? 50 might have been too many for me haha.
All in all life is good for us right now. This is probably the happiest I've been in a while. Feeling more and more like myself again. Feels good!
Better go for now.
Hugs and love,
Courtney

Happy New Year!
*I just discovered that this never got posted. I wrote this shortly after Christmas.*
I cannot blog from my computer on blogger for some reason. So here I am attempting to write this post from my phone.
Anyway, I hope you had a great Christmas. I was a total Scrooge this year and did not send out a single Christmas card! So please don't take it personally that you didn't get a card. I didn't give one to anyone!
Here's a few pics from around here.
Tony's grandparents just moved here from Ohio. They surprised us and arrived a few days before Christmas! I LOVED hosting all the family on Christmas. Made lots of yummy food and enjoyed being with everyone.
No big New Years plans. Tony has to work New Years day so we don't want to be out late the night before.
Oh and for those of you who have followed my other blogs ... They no longer exist! I really want to work towards my goal of a career in fashion so I have decided to start my fashion blog. It's still in the making but it it will be at thecourtneykiyomi.wordpress.com
Eventually I will have a regular .com address and get it more fancy. But for now this will do.
Oh and there's this show on Bravo called 'Courtney Loves Dallas' and it's basically one of my favorite shows. She's a fashion blogger and I love her. I want her closet.
Someday, I hope to be a stylist, 'professional' fashion blogger, (I hate the title or word "blogger"), or work in fashion marketing. (I miss my job at Nordstrom!)
Anyway, Tony agreed to move to NYC or LA If I ever got my dream job. I probably should have gotten that in writing.
Here's to 2014! I'm excited for everything it has in store for me! Even the running ... (It'll be the last full year of my 20's! Crazy. Haha.)

Whoa!
It's been a while since I've been on here! Geez!
What a summer! And now we're gearing up for Thanksgiving?!?! How is this possible?!
We had a really great time in Indiana and three months really flew by! I'm pretty sure almost every weekend we were there, we had something fun going on. For me the highlight of the summer was being there for Great-Grandma's (our kids' great-great grandma) 100th birthday. I mean, 100! That's big! And she looks amazing.
I took probably 500 pictures this summer so I probably won't share all of them. But here are a few of my favorites. (The word 'few' was probably a bit of a stretch)
I'm currently trying to dump all the photos from my phone onto the computer. There's a 'few' so it might take a while. Once I get those on the computer I can share some fun pics of our time so far back in Phoenix!
