Gist Family Adventures: Zoe's 6th and 7th month update!

Oops! Haven't blogged in a while! And boy has Zoe been growing and changing like crazy!

So at 6 months Zoe weighed in at 16.3 pounds. She started eating baby foods. Didn't seem too enthused about anything we tried. We tried veggies first so we didn't get her hooked on sweet fruits first, but she really didn't like the fruit. I think she liked the veggies more. Now at 7 months we're seeing some progress and she seems to be enjoying it a little more. At 6 months Zoe also started standing. Yikes. Yeah, this momma almost has a heart attack at least 3 times a day. Although I'm starting to get used to her standing/crawling/bumping into things/falling down, etc.

At 7 months Zoe weighs in at 17.3 pounds (as of Tuesday October 19th). This weight puts her at the 50th percentile. She is 25 inches long which only puts her in the 25th percentile. She really doesn't like her doctor's appointments! Can't blame her!

She is pretty much able to stand from anywhere with little assistance. She usually needs the help of furniture but the other day I caught her up against the wall and there wasn't really anything around that she could have used. Hmmmmm.

It's pretty hard to keep her in one spot for very long. She still isn't technically crawling but she does the "army crawl" to get around FAST. We have a baby gate to keep her out of the kitchen but the other day we caught her trying to climb it. Yikes. No matter how much baby proofing we do-it won't be Zoe proof. Oh and tonight when I was giving her a bath she stood herself up and tried to climb out.

Zoe also doesn't like socks. I put them on her and she pulls them off. When I put her in her PJ's she tries to pull of the foot part. She also doesn't like anything on her head. That could make her wearing hats this winter interesting!
