I am 21 weeks along (although I'll be 22 weeks on Friday)...It's really FLYING by. And that makes me a little nervous. I have yet to buy one outfit for this kiddo. But next week we'll do our baby registry and I'm sure I'll find something I have to buy. :)
At my last appointment everything was fine minus another diabetes scare. At my previous appointment, before this one, they were supposed to test my blood to see if I had diabetes..But apparently they didn't do the right test. So, they tested my blood sugar and it was fine..A little high but not out of the normal range. So then they decided to do the test to see if I had a history of diabetes and didn't know it (the test they were supposed to do last time). And that test came back with a negative..I do not and have not had diabetes. So no more diabetes testing for me! Yay! My numbers came back really well. My appointments have been in the morning, shortly after breakfast, so I guess my breakfasts have just been a little too sweet??? (I just have cereal in the mornings..)
I gained 5 pounds in about 4 weeks, which put me back at my pre-pregnancy weight. So far, I'm even on the weight...And considering I'm halfway through, that makes me happy. But I've noticed my appetite and cravings have really kicked in, so I HAVE TO start being more careful. Zoe likes to watch me do my prenatal workouts and she even tries to do some of the moves with me..Especially the yoga moves. It's quite funny.
We have decided on a first name..Noah. It's a name I've had in my brain from the get go. Even before I knew (officially knew...) he was a boy. I believe in feelings and instincts so when the name Noah just appeared in my head, I knew it was the name for him. And it means 'rest', which makes me hopeful that he won't be quite as 'lively' and crazy as Zoe. :)
We haven't yet decided on a middle name...Although we feel that since we went Japanese with Zoe we should stick with Japanese for Noah. There are many wonderful men in my life, both present and past, that I would love to name Noah after. But I feel it wrong to choose between those men, and it is important to us that the kids have something to represent their Japanese heritage..(Since they don't look it..Hahaha, just kidding.)
I am still pushing for Hiroshi because it means 'generous' and again, I believe in the meaning of names. I will be sure to keep you posted on the middle name....
My next appointment isn't until the 2nd week of February. So stay tuned!
