Summer FUN!!

Gotta be honest.  I'm kind of looking forward to the fall, because having all this summer fun can be EXHAUSTING!  :)

So, we recently went to the Lane County Fair!  We had lots of fun!  I think it'll be even more fun next year when Zoe's a bit older and can enjoy it a bit more.

Zoe's First Obon Festival!

They had an Obon Festival this weekend at one of our local parks so Tony and I took Zoe!  It was actually a lot more fun then I thought...Cause as a kid/teenager, I really hated going to the Japanese Festivals my parents dragged me to.  As an adult I still hesitate at going, but now that we have Zoe, I feel sort of obligated to take her.  It's a part of her background and it's important we expose her to those things.

We also met up with a couple of Tony's co-workers, Akiko (who is Japanese if you couldn't tell by her name) and Seth.  Being there with friends helped make it fun too!

So here are some pictures of our night out in the gorgeous weather at Alton Baker park!

Zoe was pretty happy and really interested in everything that was going on.

Then just a little way into the festival she passed out..

I love the lanterns!  I want some for our back patio!  I kinda wish the sun had set a little earlier so we could have seen it all lit up!

Seth and Akiko ventured out to dance..Tony and I watched!

It was what I would call the best summer evening yet!  We had a nice picnic out in the park and just relaxed!

Such a BIG GIRL!!!

Zoe is just growing up so FAST!  I think this month she's changed the most...Four months is EXCITING!

She is starting to recognize strangers.  She has cried a few times when strangers have tried to hold her, or even just come up to her and touched her.  Which I guess is both good and bad!  So many people we know want to hold her and I feel bad when she just cries at them!  She is also starting to recognize her name...She doesn't respond 100% of the time when you say her name, but she does sometimes.  She is also starting to sit up on her own for longer.  She is eating oatmeal or rice cereal for dinner and she seems to like it.  At first she used to make funny faces and kind of spit it out but now she keeps most of it in her mouth!  Zoe has also discovered her FEET!!  She grabs at them and stares at them...It's quite funny!

Grandma Kathleen gave her a walker that she'd had for her grandchildren but they've all grown out of it so she gave it to us.  And Zoe LOVES LOVES LOVES it!  She loves sitting up and being active so it's PERFECT for her!  We're saving up to buy her an exersaucer but they are PRICEY!  She loves the one they have at the nursery at Church!

We also went to Target one day a couple weeks ago and found her this stuffed owl that matches the picture in her room.  She LOVES it!  It's her buddy.  We haven't named it yet though..Tony calls it Hoot but I'm not entirely sold on it yet!

So here are some pictures...
