Family's First Trip to Autzen Stadium!!!

...and it was a BLAST!  We had so much fun!  We did the very Oregonian thing and didn't let a little rain stop us from watching the Ducks play some football!

Here in Eugene people are hardcore about their Duck Football..Kind of reminded me of being in Texas!

Tony won the tickets at work so we were able to justify spending money on Duck gear so we didn't look out of place!

We took the shuttle from the Mall to the stadium which I must say was BRILLIANT.  It cost $5 a person (or $18 for a season pass) and it was so easy.  We just parked at the mall and waited just a couple minutes before we boarded the bus.  It took us maybe 10 minutes to get to the stadium.  And they dropped us off right in front.  So easy!  So much better then spending $20 for a spot SOMEWHAT close to the stadium..I can only imagine how they fought their way in and out.

The crowds really weren't that bad..I even fought the halftime crowd but no one was rude, pushing their way through etc.  It did take me all of halftime to go to the bathroom and get a couple of snacks..I stood in 3 lines and it didn't feel like it took that long.  The Ducks were up like 69 to nothing so we decided to leave right at the beginning of the 4th quarter so I could get Zoe all changed and in some dry clothes before we left.  And it ended up working out well..We walked out to catch the shuttle back and stood in line MAYBE 5 minutes.  The shuttles left in 2's so we caught the second set of shuttles back.

We had loads of fun.  Even in the rain!  And despite all the rain and loud noise, Zoe managed to take a nap!  So here are some pictures of our fun day at AUTZEN STADIUM!!

Time to BABY PROOF the house!

Did I mention Zoe is SUPER close to crawling?!  Cause she is...

She does the "Army crawl" to get around the floor..And boy does she!  She's pretty fast too.  She's determined to play with everything on the floor!  So we're trying to keep things OFF the floor which is hard.  She is immediately drawn to everything that isn't her toys.  She especially loves Bubby's toy (YUCK!), the remote, and the package of wipes.  It's really bright and it makes crinkly sounds so I think that's why she loves the package so much.  She is easily entertained with a bottle of water on the floor then her play mat.  Go figure.

She can get up on all fours and she rocks and you think she just might take off but then she flops onto her belly and does this swim type kick with her legs and arms.  She's just SO close!  She's even chased the dog around a bit...I'm not sure Bubby has figured out that Zoe will be FAST some day..She may end up spending most of her time upstairs hiding from Zoe!  :)

So anyway, we have plans of collecting baby gates and really baby proofing the apartment.  What happened to my little baby?!  I can't believe how much she's growing.  Kind of makes my heart sad.  She'll never be that small again...

She is officially 6 months old...Can you believe it?!  I can't!

Baby Food Adventures!

We bought Zoe some baby food about a month ago and tried all different things..Peas, green beans, squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, bananas, peaches, pears, and apples.  She really didn't like any of them!  She especially hated the fruit with the exception of the bananas.  She didn't love them, but she didn't hate them like she hated everything else.

I have however recently discovered she'll eat them (or what I've tried so far that is) mixed with rice cereal or oatmeal.  I've mixed the vegetables with the rice cereal for dinner and the fruit with the oatmeal in the mornings.  Her sitter is going to start feeding her "breakfast"..So she should be getting some solids 3 times a day in addition to her formula.

Her eating seems to vary..Some times she'll eat a whole 6 oz and  a few hours later she'll only do 3 or 4.  So it makes it hard trying to figure out how much to make her!  But we manage.  We have wasted a lot of formula in the process!

She is still sleeping through the night..Although the other night she woke up at 2:30 and wanted to eat!  But this is a rare occurrence.

Oh and we have a new sitter for Zoe now...She lives just down the street from us so it makes my morning commute much shorter!  Can't go wrong there!

Here's the first video we took of Zoe eating some solids...My very loud laugh scared her!  Oops!
