Zoe's 1st Halloween!

Was probably kind of boring!
I lost my job a couple weeks back so money's been kinda tight.  We opted not to spend the money to take her to a pumpkin patch and we didn't take her trick-or-treating tonight.  We figured she's still kinda small and I would have felt dumb doing most of the trick-or-treating for her!  Next year we'll definitely do more!

Zoe's grandma Karen and grandpa Gist did get her a cute Halloween onesie that we dressed her up in today.  And we snapped some cute pictures!

I wanted to get a good picture of her with her cute Halloween bib her Grams Gist got her but she was upset cause she was so hungry!

And here she is after she finally got some food in her belly!  Happy and a little messy!

Zoe and Gram's Hats!

So I saw some crocheted hats online a while back on Etsy that were just too cute.  And the baby models convinced me Zoe needed those hats!  So I asked my mom-in-law, Zoe's grams if she would crochet some like them because she can crochet some very gorgeous things! 

And boy did she come through!  Check these out!















I was too lazy to change her outfits to match the hats for the pictures but she does have some great things to match them!  I'm so excited!  Thank you Michelle!  They are wonderful!!

Good thing Grandma Gist ordered another baby gate!



I saw her checking out the stairs earlier today but with the tile floor she couldn't stop slipping and sliding.  Then about an hour later I caught her standing trying to climb the stairs.

Sameness ...

They are a lot alike in so many ways.



And this picture proves they have the same hair!  Ha!

Zoe's 6th and 7th month update!

Oops!  Haven't blogged in a while!  And boy has Zoe been growing and changing like crazy!

So at 6 months Zoe weighed in at 16.3 pounds.  She started eating baby foods.  Didn't seem too enthused about anything we tried.  We tried veggies first so we didn't get her hooked on sweet fruits first, but she really didn't like the fruit.  I think she liked the veggies more.  Now at 7 months we're seeing some progress and she seems to be enjoying it a little more.  At 6 months Zoe also started standing.  Yikes.  Yeah, this momma almost has a heart attack at least 3 times a day.  Although I'm starting to get used to her standing/crawling/bumping into things/falling down, etc.

At 7 months Zoe weighs in at 17.3 pounds (as of Tuesday October 19th).  This weight puts her at the 50th percentile.  She is 25 inches long which only puts her in the 25th percentile.  She really doesn't like her doctor's appointments!  Can't blame her! 

She is pretty much able to stand from anywhere with little assistance.  She usually needs the help of furniture but the other day I caught her up against the wall and there wasn't really anything around that she could have used.  Hmmmmm.

It's pretty hard to keep her in one spot for very long.  She still isn't technically crawling but she does the "army crawl" to get around FAST.  We have a baby gate to keep her out of the kitchen but the other day we caught her trying to climb it.  Yikes.  No matter how much baby proofing we do-it won't be Zoe proof.  Oh and tonight when I was giving her a bath she stood herself up and tried to climb out. 

Zoe also doesn't like socks.  I put them on her and she pulls them off.  When I put her in her PJ's she tries to pull of the foot part.  She also doesn't like anything on her head.  That could make her wearing hats this winter interesting!
