Trying to get Zoe to Talk!

I tried really hard to get Zoe to talk!  The things I was asking her to say are things she does normally say all the time.  But today she was a bit camera shy and too fascinated with her foot to talk to me!  :)

Sleepy?!

I snapped this photo a week or so ago.  Thought it was so cute!  (I really need to have the camera/videocamera attached to me at all times ... She does the funniest things all the time and by the time I find/get to the camera she stops!)  But I was able to get this with my camera phone (hence it's not the best quality!)

It was clearly getting close to nap time:

Easter! (And other stuff!)

I guess things have come full circle ... We've gone through all of Zoe's "first" holidays.  Easter was officially her first second holiday! HA!

Anyway, it was a pretty nice day!

I haven't been sleeping well (just 2-3 hours a night) so yesterday morning I woke up and felt AWFUL.  So I ended up missing Church but Tony took Zoe and I was able to go back to bed for a while.

Zoe got the hat from the Pastor at Church!

And her dress and matching sandals were from her Grandpa and Grandma Karen!  Isn't it GORGEOUS?!?!  LOVE it!  She looked great in it!

Then yesterday afternoon Tony had to go to work and Zoe and I went with Kathleen to a friends' house.  We lovingly refer to them as our "Oregon Family".  They also go to our Church and you will often find us with them on a Holiday.  (We spent Thanksgiving with them as well!)  It was great to spend the day with them!

In other news, Zoe is officially off formula.  Actually she has been for a while now.  She drinks just regular milk.  And she's totally off bottles.  That was a bit of a hard transition.  And in the end it was actually harder on me I think.  I had got her bottles down to just 1 a day and then I decided to just pack them up and take them away.  And she's done just fine!  She gets milk and water but NO juice.

Here are some more pictures I've taken over the last few weeks.

Now the leggings don't look that great under her cute dress.  However, it was just a bit too cold to just wear the dress and top and I'm so tired of her not being able to wear her cute spring stuff I decided to just put the leggings on her!  :)

It has gotten increasingly hard to take pictures of Zoe.  She can now walk/run so she might start off at a nice distance away from me but then suddenly she's just right in front of me.  As you can see from this picture:

And finally one of her from far away!

So anyway, that's about it from us here in OR!  Hope you had a happy Easter!!

The Latest!

Zoe had her 12 month well child check yesterday and it went really well!  I really enjoy these visits because they're always very informative and a bit reassuring that we're doing the right things!

Yesterday was the first time she was able to walk around and walk so instead of laying her down the "baby scale" they had her stand up on the regular scale like a big girl!  She looked kinda tiny just standing there!  Of course Miss Dramatic started crying as soon as I stood her up on the scale.  But she stood there just fine!

Her latest stats:

Height: 28 inches (Whopping 10th percentile!)
Weight: 19.8 pounds (Whopping 25th percentile!)

Still pretty petite and obviously we all know that won't change anytime soon!  As far as growth and development she's right on track!

Zoe's eating more and more things.  Last night she had some banana and cheese (well, with other things of course) which were things we couldn't really get her to eat before.  She loves yogurt and really anything she sees you eating.  She's walking all the time now.  Able to stand up on her own.  She squats down and picks up toys (without actually sitting down) and then stands back up.  She does this really cute downward facing dog thing.

She's totally weaned off formula-just drinking milk.  She mostly uses sippy cups, but I have been giving her a bottle with warm milk before bed.  I'm trying to wean her off that too.  Her pediatrician wants her totally weaned off bottles by 15 months which we will definitely do.  The sooner the better.

She is VERY talkative!  She says "Dada", "doggy" (or at least I think she says doggy!  It could be just another form of Dada!)  and sometimes she'll say "mommy".  Although no one but me has heard her say it!  But I promise you she does!  It's not as commonly said as "dada" but we'll get there!  She also says "Uh oh" A LOT.  And she uses it correctly.  Whenever something falls, or if she drops food on the floor, or something like that.  It's really cute!

And I LOVE this picture of her!  So cute!  Tony walked outside and so she wanted to see where he went!

I think that's the latest here with Zoe!  She's growing up too fast!  But no, not ready for #2!  :)
